Last week, the children in school hatched a plan to construct some catapults. The children made a study design from rubber bands, popsicle sticks and spoons (which was very fiddly indeed). After adding some interesting decorations to their eggs, the children went outside and tested their devices. OH’s prediction, that that the raw might fly the furthest as it wouldn’t be pushed back by the wind or be too heavy, was chosen. However, it turned out that the plastic egg travelled the most egg-stravagant distance. The children concluded that this was because it was the lightest of the eggs and, while their test pilots ended up scrambled on the floor, they all had a cracking time!
