To celebrate Children’s Mental Health Week this Friday (9th February) the children can DRESS TO EXPRESS. This could be through favourite colours, hairstyles, favourite sports kits, favourite clothes, fancy dress, party clothes or normal school uniform . . . whatever your child wants to wear as an expression of themselves. Whatever they wear should be suitable for playing outside at breaktimes. Please don’t buy anything special. Just for fun – no donation needed.

Straw and Order

The Snowman
Across the school, pupils’ English lessons are currently based on ‘The Snowman’, by Raymond Briggs. Due to the heavy snowfall, pupils in Class 6 made their very own snowman. In their English lesson, they then had to write a set of instructions, using the subjunctive voice, to explain how to build a perfect snowman. They then made their instructions into an iMovie.

Turkey Trot
Wednesday 6th December, Class 6, along with the rest of the school, participated in a ‘Turkey Trot’ with Rob Proud. The school made a donation to a local charity, the Angel Trust, due to the pupils’ participation. The event involved a fitness instructor, Rob Proud, dressed as a turkey, and pupils, also dressed in turkey headdresses, to complete a variety of fitness dances. A great time was had by all.
