At West Cornforth Primary School we are extremely proud to be able to take part in a wide range of sports during the academic year. The children have the opportunity to participate in netball, tag rugby, football, cricket, multi-skills and basketball (to name a few)!

We have developed a document that uses the Early Learning Goals and the National Curriculum to help summarise and identify what West Cornforth Primary School would like our pupils to look, sound and behave like by the end of each year group.
The school has achieved a Sainsbury’s School Games Gold Award for 2016-2017. In the district, we were the 6th best school for participating in inter-school sports and 4th best school for attending sporting events. Well done to everyone who contributed towards the sporting success of last year.

Lunchtime Clubs
Mr Hoggart organises and leads many games throughout the week to keep children active. There is a daily timetable to show different lunchtime activities that are available for both KS1 and KS2 children.
