To celebrate Children’s Mental Health Week this Friday (9th February) the children can DRESS TO EXPRESS. This could be through favourite colours, hairstyles, favourite sports kits, favourite clothes, fancy dress, party clothes or normal school uniform . . . whatever your child wants to wear as an expression of themselves. Whatever they wear should be suitable for playing outside at breaktimes. Please don’t buy anything special. Just for fun – no donation needed.
School Wellbeing Survey
We are currently working to achieve a school improvement award. In order to evaluate our current provision, we need your input. Your views are important in helping us understand what we are doing well and how we can do even better.
It should only take a couple of minutes. Please respond within the week. All responses and suggestions will be carefully considered and used to plan a range of school improvements.
If you have any queries about this survey, please contact your child’s teacher on Class Dojo.
Evaluation submissions are valid between: 13/05/2022 – 17/06/2022. Your submission will not be accepted outside of these dates.

Year 3: Robyn and Autumn
Year 4: Isabelle and Lily
Year 5: Lewis and Matthew
Year 6: Jacob and Nieve
Assembly
This week we held an assembly to talk about our feelings about what is happening in the Ukraine. We also watched the BBC Newsround clip, ‘Advice if you’re upset by the news’ to help us learn to talk about our concerns.
Parent Zone – Digital Activities to Boost Wellbeing
Unreliable February weather, coupled with families not necessarily being able to get out and about, could mean it’s harder than usual to keep children upbeat and active this half term. While more time at home often means more time online, it doesn’t have to be solely spent bingeing favourite series or games.
Parent Zone’s new article is packed full of suggestions for apps, games and videos to give families some inspiration for the half-term break. From cosmic yoga to virtual nature walks via family fitness challenges, there’s plenty there to boost everyone’s energy levels and help families have fun together.

Dress to Express
This Children’s Mental Health Week, we’re asking people to ‘Dress to Express’ and help raise vital funds to help us support more children and young people with their mental health. On Friday 11th February, please come dressed to school in an outfit that allows you to express yourself. Here are some photos to inspire you. We are looking forward to seeing your outfits!

Time to Talk Day (3rd February 2022)
Today it was Time to Talk Day. Time to Talk Day aims to raise awareness of the importance of talking about our feelings and expressing our emotions to support our mental health. We were asked to plan and deliver some lessons on what this day is all about. We spoke to all of the classes to teach them about mental health and we discussed ideas to keep a healthy mental health. Here are some things you can do to improve your mental health:
Speak to your friends
Speak to a family member
Spend time outdoors
Do your favourite thing
Play some sport
How do you like to keep your mind healthy?
Time to Talk Day
On Thursday 3rd February our school will join in the national ‘Time to Talk Day’. The day is about creating supportive communities by having conversations with family, friends, or colleagues about mental health. We all have mental health. By talking about it, we can support ourselves and others. For further information, please click the link below:
