Enter Arts Academy Digital Resource

May 13, 2020 by admin

Enter CIC have developed a digital resource (Enter Arts Academy) in response to the Covid-19 pandemic. It is compiled of lots of arts related activities for young people to complete during the lockdown. Thanks to funding from the Four Together Area Action Partnership, young people from West Cornforth Primary School can access this FREE!

As some of our children have previously attended sessions with Enter Arts Academy, I’m sure they would really enjoy completing the activities and engaging with this online resource.

To access instructions on how to get an account, click on the link below:

Mrs Smith’s Message for Reception Starters 2020

May 11, 2020 by admin

We are really looking forward to welcoming our Reception 2020 intake!

Many of you will already know our school well if you have attended our Nursery. To these children, I want to say that I’ve spent the last year getting to know you all and in fact, I taught most of you last year. I’m looking forward to seeing how much you’ve learnt since I last worked with you!

I’m excited to say that we have some children joining us in Reception from other nurseries. We can’t wait to meet you and get to know you all. All of our children and staff are extremely friendly and are excited to welcome you.

Unfortunately, due to the current situation, we do not know when we will be open, or when our transition visits can occur. I will be ringing you all to introduce myself and will be keeping in touch until we can meet in person!

Until then, have a look at our transition information and have a browse through our school website so that you can see what our school is like. Our Reception page shows some of the activities that we have done this year with our current Reception Class.

Take care, stay safe, and keep in touch.

Mrs L Smith

Reception Class Teacher and Early Years Lead

We have dedicated a page to update parents about transition information; you can access our new transition page by clicking here. On our transition page, we will post any new information for Reception starters 2020.

Feel Good Fridays

May 8, 2020 by admin

Wow! This week, our Feel Good Fridays video includes 228 pieces of fantastic work. We have really enjoyed receiving pictures of your home learning, it has been great to see children outside this week, and there are photos of some lovely VE Day activities that have taken place at home. Thank you to the children, parents and carers for sharing their home learning with us during the fifth week of school closures. Enjoy the video, and look out for your photos of home learning. Did you spot your wonderful work?
