On Friday 17th May we celebrated Earth Day in school. Years 3, 4, and 5 went all around the village to pick up any litter that we could find. We fill lots of bags with rubbish that included cans, sweet wrappers and plastic bottles.
We were careful not to handle things that were hazardous to us, such as broken glass and needles. We wore gloves and green tabards so we stood out. Lots of people showed interest in why we were out in the village and not working hard in school!
We feel like we have helped the environment and our community.
