March 4, 2022 by admin

Are your children asking questions about current events? News stories can be difficult to follow as an adult, let alone explaining them to children. First News have created a ‘background explainer’ to help teachers and parents talk to children about what is going on.

To access the ‘background explainer’, please click the link below:

Breaking News!

March 4, 2022 by admin

Year One’s English plans were turned upside down this week when their lesson was interrupted with breaking news that a satellite had crashed into the school field over the weekend. They soon heard the news that there had been a friendly alien on board, who was now lost in their school.

The class decided it was crucial that they did everything they could to help find and take care of the friendly alien. They asked questions to school staff about strange things that were happening and then created their own news report to help raise awareness for the friendly alien and get it safely returned home!

Parent Zone’s new article is packed full of suggestions for apps, games and videos to give families some inspiration for the half-term break. From cosmic yoga to virtual nature walks via family fitness challenges, there’s plenty there to boost everyone’s energy levels and help families have fun together.
