February 6, 2024 by admin

To celebrate Children’s Mental Health Week this Friday (9th February) the children can DRESS TO EXPRESS. This could be through favourite colours, hairstyles, favourite sports kits, favourite clothes, fancy dress, party clothes or normal school uniform . . . whatever your child wants to wear as an expression of themselves. Whatever they wear should be suitable for playing outside at breaktimes. Please don’t buy anything special. Just for fun – no donation needed.

Parent Zone – Digital Activities to Boost Wellbeing

February 10, 2022 by admin

Unreliable February weather, coupled with families not necessarily being able to get out and about, could mean it’s harder than usual to keep children upbeat and active this half term. While more time at home often means more time online, it doesn’t have to be solely spent bingeing favourite series or games.

Parent Zone’s new article is packed full of suggestions for apps, games and videos to give families some inspiration for the half-term break. From cosmic yoga to virtual nature walks via family fitness challenges, there’s plenty there to boost everyone’s energy levels and help families have fun together.

Time to Talk Day (3rd February 2022)

February 7, 2022 by admin

Today it was Time to Talk Day. Time to Talk Day aims to raise awareness of the importance of talking about our feelings and expressing our emotions to support our mental health. We were asked to plan and deliver some lessons on what this day is all about. We spoke to all of the classes to teach them about mental health and we discussed ideas to keep a healthy mental health. Here are some things you can do to improve your mental health:

Speak to your friends
Speak to a family member
Spend time outdoors
Do your favourite thing
Play some sport

How do you like to keep your mind healthy?
